Have
a business name.
Create a business e-mail account.
One that relates to your business name would be preferable.
Go under Trade Bloc
in the Members Area, Independent Trade Databases (Links); click.
A number of links should appear. Click on them to become familiar with their content. Register on those that interest you.
You may be asked to list your title.
"General manager", "export manager", or "trade consultant" can be less intimidating than "C.E.O." or "business owner".
Registration may ask what type of business
you have. “General Merchant” is a good standard answer.
Are you a buyer or seller? Choose one or both as it applies to you.
What products do you deal in? List your products.
You can always change your profile as you become more familiar with the process.
They will ask you for contact information.
You’ll want to be careful here; don't list your home address. List your phone number only if you are
set up to receive business calls at all hours of the day or night. Otherwise, list only your e-mail address.
Make the user names and pass words very
easy to remember or access. To avoid confusion, use the same pass codes for each database you register on.
Group all of the databases you sign
up with in a “favorites” folder. This is usually located
on your browser’s tool bar (near where the internet addresses
are located). This will make them easier to manage and to access.
An example
of how to find buyers in any Independent Trade Databases (Links)
From the Member Section, under
the Trade Bloc Column, click on Independent Trade Databases (Links).
There you will find an alphabetical
list of databases that contain buyers and suppliers (sellers). Each underlined title in blue is
a link to that particular website.
Scroll down to alphabet "E".
Click on the link ECROBOT.Com
Under the title are TABS to different
sections of the website. For this example you will see TABS named:
Home

Help
To find buyers, click on the Trade
Leads TAB directly under the website title. Please look carefully for the Trade Leads TAB, not other
areas that say trade leads. This example is to show you how to find specific types of buyers in any Independent Trade Database. They will not
all look the same, so you must be aware of exactly what you are looking for.
Now, you must find Offer Types (buy
offers and sell offers). Again, this will look different in each new website. On this particular
page two lines below the Product List TAB you will see "All Offer Type".
Beside it to the right is a drop down menu arrow. Click it once, then click "Offers to Buy". The second box to the right is where
you enter your search keyword for buyers.
You are now ready to follow the instructions
from "Tips and Procedures"
(Please remember, each site looks
different, so learn to look around and find exactly what you are looking for. Always pay very close attention to detail).
